Robert D Hugh (Rob) - Solicitor Director

Rob has 25 years experience in corporate and commercial law. In addition to his legal qualifications, he qualified as a chartered accountant in Australia.
Holding degrees in both economics (finance and accounting) and law, Rob worked with Price Waterhouse Sydney, completing his professional year in 1988. Subsequently seconded to Sydney legal practice, Sly & Russell (subsequently Deacons, Graham and James, and is now known as Norton Rose Fulbright), he was made a partner in 1991.
Rob's experience covers a diverse range of corporate and commercial practice areas. He practises in the fields of corporations law, trusts, competition and consumer law, finance and securities. His focus practice areas include business succession planning, joint ventures and corporate insolvency.
Rob has acted as a director on a number of public and private company boards including NRMA, CBUS and Utilities Trust of Australia. His appointments included as a member of the finance and investment committees of those organisations.
Rob qualified as a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and is a member of the Taxation Institute of Australia, the Law Society of New South Wales and Law Council of Australia.
He is admitted as solicitor of the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of each Australian State and Territory. He is also a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and currently on the Roll of Solicitors in the United Kingdom. He is Public Notary.
Rob's clients include a diverse range of international and Australian corporations and high net worth individuals.
As the firm's solicitor director, he is the nominated solicitor of record for client litigation.
